Welcome to Codex: Jungle Dogs; Scout Company, dedicated to collecting, painting and gaming with The Jungle Dogs Space Marines 10th Company in the Warhammer 40,000 battle game.
WHY COLLECT A JUNGLE DOGS 10th COMPANY SPACE MARINE ARMY?
It is acknowledged that Space Marine armies are one of the best choices for first time gamers. Their statistics compare to Elite troops from most other armies, with awesome basic weaponry as standard. However, unlike most Codex Chapters the Jungle Dogs have an exceptional history, with accompanying characters and rule changes. They present a more interesting challenge than Codex Chapters, with an endless opportunity for converting miniatures.
THE ARMY LIST & HOW TO USE IT
This Army List is only applicable in games where participants agree on the use of extra rules and characters. It is unusable under Tournament conditions at this time. Although the Army List, Characters and History is for Jungle Dogs Space Marines, the Special Rules could also be applicable for other Space Marine armies of your own invention if desired. Instead of being a stand-alone list, the Codex: Jungle Dogs should be used in conjunction with the standard Codex: Space Marines (although the rules have been included for your convenience) and you will not be able to use the Jungle Dogs Army List fully without reference to the Space Marine Codex and the Warhammer 40,000 Rulebook. The standard Space Marine Force Organizational Chart applies to Jungle Dogs armies, as do standard Space Marine Special Rules. All Special Characters (Listed at the end of the codex) must be used exactly as described, and may not be given any additional wargear. Note that the Chapter Master may only be taken in armies of 2000 points or more.
SPECIAL SPACE MARINE RULES:
THEY SHALL KNOW NO FEAR: Space Marines always regroup if they fall back, even if they have taken 50% casualties. They may act normally on the turn after they rally. If perused and caught, they auto-rally and the enemy is treated as making a sweeping advance into them.
DROP POD ARMY: At the start of the battle, if Deep Strike rules are allowed, you may declare that your Space Marines are using Drop Pods to deploy. Any model in Power Armour, Artificer Armour, Scout Armour, or Terminator Armour, Dreadnoughts and Land Speeders must deploy using Deep Strike Rules. Any other models stay on board the ship and are not used in the game.
